Phthalo’s Brand Campaign

Semester Long Branding Project

 

Phthalo’s brand campaign was a semester-long branding project. We started by drawing names of businesses out of a hat. Then we were encouraged to build our own mythology for the business. The name “phthalo” is a hue of blue. My thoughts directly went to a blue’s bar that did more than just blues. “Phthalo records” was the name I drew out of the hat and I turned it into Phthalo’s Wax & Tap. It’s a blues bar that sells vinyl in a way that is curated and experiential. I wanted to create a campaign that drew people in and made them want to stay. I was interested in creating events posters, receipts, menus for the bar, as well as shirts.
